On this day Purim is celebrated by God’s people.
Purim is the commemoration of God saving His Jewish people from total annihilation through the demonic work of a royal official of the Persian king, Haman. Like so many evil men who work against God, Haman’s sins took him exactly where he wanted Mordecai to be, death by execution…
Selah.
Mordecai, loved and protected by God, was honored and rewarded.
Read the story.
This past Sunday my family and I watched a movie about Esther and Mordecai…
It’s always excellent to reflect on biblical truths in biblical movies. As we watch what the movie portrays, compare what it relates to as to what is truth.

Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
The Bible accounts of Satan, his kingdom, and some of his very own children, are a reminder that Israel is God’s beloved. We are truly to bless Israel and love them…. We Christians are to honor their covenant as we worship the same God: the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament.
Selah.
In the story of Esther in the particular rendition of the movie, we watched the manner in which Haman begged for his life. Or didn’t. It was totally inaccurate, unbiblical. This was an important point. Extremely important! Of course there more than likely was a bit of artistic license. Again, that’s why it’s always wise to review the biblical story of Esther. But the bottom line is God’s chosen people, those in covenant with Him, were viciously hated by evil men. Nothing new under the sun… Satan indeed uses his people to despise them, harm them in everyway possible, and attempt to obliterate them from mankind… He can’t! They can’t!
Selah.
Jesus is Jewish; Satan could not stop His birth, nor His completed works!
Satan’s not the only one who’s got it wrong… Look at Hitler.
Queen Esther is cherished by Israel and the Church; and always will be. A woman willing to give her life, she chose righteousness and God’s ways over the very real possibility of her own death…
Her most famous words: “…And if I perish, I perish.” from Esther, chapter four.
On this day on my American calendar Purim is listed on one of them, not the other. Interesting. We must love who God loves and hate what He hates.
I LOVE YOU ISRAEL!
Growing up in a home without the love for God, an invalid father, heavy financial hardships, and tremendous (sometimes dangerous) discord is always difficult. Add on to that extreme shyness, a feeling of inferiority, and some may think this girl was rejected. But God’s hand was on her and His heart was for her. Today, Ann Marie Turner has performed many great services in Jesus’ name for the love of God and man; and for herself! She has ministered in the male correctional for over ten years. Along with this website, Ann is the author of Joy Stories, Volume One and The Free Incarcerated Man. Writing about the joy of the Lord and the victory that is available for a willing soul is one of Ann’s now greatest joys! Ann’s prayer for you is to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Celebrate the God of the Bible and your personal victories in Christ unceasingly! Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
